Hallu all my reader,today i wanna show you all on how to tweak the windows XP registry to make the START menu is faster than the default speed. The speed of the start menu can be adjusted only by using a simple tweak registry.

The default value is 400. Set it to 0 and the delay is gone, but it will be nearly impossible to move the mouse fast enough not to activate [All Programs] if you mouse over it in route to your final selection. It's easy to train yourself to move the pointer to the right after clicking Start to avoid activating All Programs. Pick a number that suits your style and make the change, then test it until you find a good compromise between speed and usability.

"Tak boleh juga ke jika anda cuba panjat apa-apa seperti kerusi dan tengok
kat belakang tu?"

"Oh, saya tak nampak bukannya sebab angle tak betul, tapi pasal
gelap."

"Gelap?"

"Ya. Lampu pejabat ni terpadam dan satu-satunya sumber cahaya yang saya
ada adalah dari cahaya tingkap."

"OK, kalau macam tu hidupkanlah lampu pejabat anda."

"Tak boleh."

"Tak boleh? Kenapa?"

"Sebab kat pejabat saya "blackout", tak ada elektrik."

"Blackout... tak ada elektrik? Aha, Okay, kita dah dapat penyelesaiannya
sekarang. Anda masih mempunyai kotak, manual dan barang-barang pembungkusan
semasa komputer ini dihantar?"

"Ada... saya simpan kat dalam almari."

"Bagus. pergi ambil barang-barang tersebut dan unplug komputer anda.
Kemudian bungkuskan sepertimana masa ianya baru-baru sampai dulu. Hantar

ke kedai dimana anda beli dulu."

"Ehh? Ye ke? Macam tu sekali punya teruk ke?"

- pastikan OS menggunakan patch terkini kerana program malware akan mengeksploitasi setiap kelemahannya;

- jika menggunakan Internet Explorer, pastikan gunakan patch terkini. Anda boleh juga menggunakan browser alternatif seperti Mozilla Firefox (mozilla.com) atau Opera (opera.com);

- baca kotak popup sebelum klik "OK". Ada juga iklan yang menyerupai kekotak dialog dari windows. Pastikan anda klik 'X' dan bukan "OK";

- jika menggunakan Firefox, anda boleh dapatkan perluasan seperti "NoScript" untuk membenarkan penggunaan Javascript di laman-laman web tertentu yang anda percaya. Untuk mengelak iklan dari jenis flash pula, anda boleh dapatkan perluasan "Adblock";

- jangan melayari laman web yang diragui, seperti porno, cracks, dan warez;

- dapatkan program anti spyware seperti Spy Bot Search & Destroy, IE-SPYAD, Spyware Blaster dan Windows defender (masih dalam beta) untuk mengesan program yang diragui. Anda juga boleh menggunakan program berkenaan serentak tidak semua program boleh mengesan segala spyware dan malware;

Ingat!!!

FORMAT cakera keras selalunya dilakukan sekali sahaja. Jika dikehendaki memformat berulang kali, mungkin ada kerosakan pada perkakasan atau persekitaran Sistem Operasi (OS) anda.

Cara format bergantung kepada versi OS dan juga sambungan ke cakera keras. Saya andaikan anda menggunakan Sistem Operasi Windows XP/2000.

Jika mempunyai lebih satu cakera keras atau satu cakera keras yang ada lebih daripada satu pembahagian, dan anda mahu format cakera keras atau pembahagian yang bukan utama, ikuti langkah berikut bagi variasi

OS Windows:

- klik My Computer

- klik File > Format

- Satu tetingkap akan dipaparkan. Pilih pilihan yang berkenaan dan klik Start.

Pastikan anda sudah membuat salinan ke atas data penting sama ada ke CD atau lain setoran.

Anda perlukan CD OS, jika mahu format cakera keras atau pembahagian utama yang mana OS sudah dipasang di situ.

Bagi platform Windows XP/2000, ikuti langkah berikut:

- pastikan komputer boleh diboot dengan CD. Jika tidak, sebelum masuk ke pelarasan BIOS bagi menentukan turutan boot. Bergantung kepada BIOS yang digunakan. Sebaik menghidupkan PC, anda perlu tekan kekunci F2 atau Del untuk masuk ke tetingkap menu pelarasan BIOS.

Cari pilihan untuk mengubah turutan boot dan tetapkan CD sebagai pilihan boot pertama.

- Setelah komputer boot daripada CD, anda akan dibawa ke paparan Welcome to Setup. Tekan kekunci Enter.

- Untuk menerima lesen Microsoft, tekan kekunci F8.

- Jika Setup dapat mengesan OS yang sudah dipasang, anda diberi pilihan untuk membetulkan OS berkenaan. Tekan kekunci Esc untuk melepasinya.

- Kemudian paparan baru dengan senarai cakera keras dan pembahagian di dalam PC. Pilih cakera keras atau pembahagian yang hendak diformat.

Anda boleh membuang dan membuat pembahagian baru di paparan ini.

- Pilih partition untuk pemasangan OS Windows XP/2000

- Pilih ‘Format the partition by using the NTFS file system (Quick)’ terbaik untuk OS XP/2000.

- Langkah seterusnya akan format cakera keras atau partition anda.

Ikuti arahan di paparan untuk pemasangan OS Windows XP/2000.

Selepas Setup selesai, anda perlu keluarkan CD Setup dan boot semula komputer anda.

We’ve always known that Google has wanted to challenge Microsoft’s desktop dominance in a number of areas, but to date we didn’t know that extended to gaming.

Hidden inside Google Earth is a secret Flight Simulator that takes full advantage of Google’s extensive satellite imagery.

To access the hidden feature, open Google Earth and hit Command+Option+A (note it must be capital A) or Ctrl+Alt+A if you’re using a Windows Machine.

The Google Earth Flight Simulator comes with two aircraft options, a F16 Viper and the more manageable SR22 4 seater. Players have the option of commencing the game from their current location in Google Earth or can pick from a list of pre-determined runways. Control instructions can be found here.

Overall the game play is fairly simple in terms of control, but the striking difference is flying over real pictures of locations. I took a quick flight from San Francisco International, headed North to the Golden Gate then turn back over the city before heading towards the Valley. It wasn’t perfect, but it was as good visually as the paid Microsoft Flight Simulator, and in terms of actually presenting real objects it was better.

lean a Mouse with White Paper for Smooth Cursor Movements

An illustrated guide about cleaning a slow and sluggish mouse in 2 seconds with just a piece of white paper.

If you are using an external laser or optical mouse with your laptop or desktop computer, you probably know the problems that surface after using the mouse for couple of weeks - the mouse feels sticky or is hard to move especially when you are using it without the mouse pad, the pointer on the screen may not move smoothly with the mouse or jump.

Most of these mouse problem are because of the dust that sticks to the bottom of the mouse surface at points that are in constant touch with the table or the mouse pad - see the red arrows in the above picture - the white circles are actually made from accumulated dust that is disrupting the smooth movements of the mouse.

To solve this problem, hold the mouse over a piece of white paper and gently (but firmly) drag the mouse from the top edge of the paper to the bottom as shown in the picture below.

You will see a trail of grease like substance on the paper - you can also repeat the process sideways - just move the mouse on paper from left to right. You will enjoy using mouse once again as all the wax is transferred from the bottom of the mouse to the paper.

It is advisable that you also clean the grease or wax sticking to your mouse pad or table surface (when not using a pad) atlease once a week. Dip a piece of cloth in mild soap water solution and gently rub - wipe with a clean dry cloth or tissue paper.

The trick is illustrated using Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 8000 with Intellipoint software but should work just perfect with any mouse including those for the Mac.
